About/Faith Statement
Welcome to LaVrai.COM.
The Web site offers news, commentary on the Holy Bible and multimedia from a Christian perspective. LaVrai.COM is meant to inform and encourage - to inform visitors of the goodness of GOD, and to encourage them to seek HIM out - by spreading the Good News.
LaVrai.COM’s Statement Of Faith
LaVrai.COM’s author believes 100% that man was made in GOD’s image, but because of sin, has fallen short of the glory of GOD. Salvation is through Jesus, the only begotten Son of GOD and also the second person of the Holy Trinity. Each person who accepts salvation through GOD’s mercy, must also accept HIS Holy Spirit, who by dwelling in each believer of Christ Jesus, gives guidance in the walk with the Savior.
Christ Jesus was born into this world of a virgin woman, walked on the earth and taught those who would listen; was persecuted and died by crucifixion; he conquered death, hell and Satan, and came back to life on the third day and eventually ascended back to heaven. He will return at some future appointed time unknown to any man, woman or child on this earth to claim His throne and rule among the nations.
Salvation is not a secret or a mystery, it is available to anyone who seeks it. One must acknowledge and truly believe GOD and HIS son Jesus the Christ. GOD and Jesus exist whether or not you believe they do, so you must acknowledge them and repent of your sins - there is no one born into this world who is free of sin except Christ Jesus. GOD will seek out those who seek HIM out. HE doesn’t sleep, HE’s not dead and HE’s not deaf, dumb or blind. Don’t wait, because the only two guarantees you have in life are 1)you never know for sure what the next day may bring, and 2)one day you will surely die.
I also feel that I must make it clear: I am not seeking to evangelize the entire world…nor ‘the Jews.’ I am only seeking out those who will believe. There are those who do believe and those who do not believe; And there are those who will believe (at some point down the line) and those who will lose their faith (i.e., turn their soul over to Satan for whatever reason). I am looking for the ones — Jew or Gentile — who will believe until we see the Messiah sitting on His throne in New Jerusalem.
Are you such a one?
***
I must also note with respect to comments: I am not interested in debating non-essential issues — such as which day is really the Sabbath, or if women should wear jewelry, or if eating pork is a sin — for example. I don’t really care about these issues and do not see how they are relevant to our salvation through Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit guides us in all things pertaining to the FATHER GOD ALMIGHTY’s will. Although we all serve the same GOD, each individual’s walk with Messiah is different. Some things that may be good for me, may not be good for you and vice versa, so I will not debate such issues. I may entertain certain comments from time to time, but that is about it. This decision is based on the writings of Paul found in Romans 14 which begins as such: “Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.”
UPDATE: I finally wrote my testimony…with some encouragement for you, of course
My Own Story, And Advice For You
~Shalom

Hi guys
Just thought I would tell you, the ‘Sodom & Gomorrah’s Destruction’ article is an April Fools joke (timesonline posted it 1 day to early so it confused people even more). Then again posting it the day before the 1st April doesn’t make it a joke anymore…hmmm
DEBORAH:
Thanks, but the article doesn’t look like an April Fool’s joke. The scientists mentioned in the article are real people who actually did what the article says they did. One scientist quoted, is also an author, and you can find his book, “A Sumerian Observation of the Köfels’ Impact Event,” on Amazon. But, then again, perhaps the Times Online folks went the extra distance to pull this off. If you can find any other evidence, I’d love to know.
This should have been their April Fool’s joke, considering the ‘cognitive philosopher’ that was used as the primary source: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=4392361&page=1
Hi LaVrai
After reading all the comments on the Times online article where everyone was saying it was an April fools joke, because everything according to the tablet vs dates vs destruction magnitude of the astroid vs area that was devistated etc etc etc made no sense. Even the heading has a typo, were it says, ‘Clay tablet identified as asteroid that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah’ should have said, ‘Clay tablet identified ‘the’ asteroid that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah’.
As for Moses being ‘high’ on Mt Sinai well this is definitely not a joke, if anything Benny Shanon is a joke - he should lay off smoking that stuff for a while.
Btw thanks for the link to Oprah and listing my blog on your blogroll - much appreciated)
DEBORAH:
Yes, I saw the comments, too and noticed the typo in the headline. I guess it is pretty obvious it’s a joke. I’ll stop being stubborn.
As for adding you to my blog roll, there aren’t too many sensible, truthful voices in the wilderness of the internet it seems, so I try to take note of the ‘good’ ones that I find.
LaVrai, been reading your site and I like it a lot and some more. Good choice to add me because, if I was you I would have also added myself to your blogroll
I’ve been smoking those Mt Sinai socks again… So if you were me, would I add you to my blogroll? Of course you would. LOL - It’s midnight, I must get some sleep.
Take Care
Hi - found your blog over on Mehmet’s website for the Wordpress Magazine Theme in the comments and thought I’d click the link. Glad I did - your blog is wonderful and I’ve bookmarked it and I’ll be back to read everything you’ve posted. Thank you for such a wonderful blog!!
SKEPTIC:
Thank you for the encouragement! I really hope everyone can get a little something out of this. And I’ve bookmarked your site to peruse later — I don’t pay attention to the global warming debate. I just know some folks think Al Gore is full of baloney. But I have noticed some stories to be skewed — like the recent one about a chunk of ice falling off somewhere (sorry)…and someone neglecting to mention that there was an earthquake in the region.
Oh well.
Yooooo hoooooo just visitingggggggggg!!!!!!!!!
