I don’t get it. When are we going to stop clinging to human doctrines and the vain philosophies of men? When are people going to stop playing Christians and start giving up their present selves to death, so that Christ Jesus can create the new man/woman? Don’t those who seek to follow Jesus know that HE is a Holy GOD and must be worshiped in holiness?

There is nothing holy about same-sex relations. There is nothing holy about murdering a baby. Out-of-marriage sex does not please GOD the FATHER. Killing an unborn child does not please GOD the FATHER. Why do some believe we can cling to the flesh and our own priorities and still seek after the LORD and do HIS will? It’s either GOD or its mammon. Jesus Christ said it cannot be both. You cannot compromise with the Devil or the world — your faith will suffer and you will cling to delusions instead of to the cross.

Apparently it is unrealistic to teach young men and women who profess the faith to strive to live a holy life before the GOD whom we serve (or are these Black church leaders encouraging the unsaved to stay in their sins?). Apparently it is an act of wickedness or meanness to let a child come into a world that may refuse to give it health care, a proper job, education or a ‘fair’ shot a life… it would be more compassionate to kill that child. Men playing god.

And notice in the article, with all the talk about ‘church leaders’ … there is not one mention of Jesus Christ or GOD or Salvation or faith or any such elements that are pivotal to the Church. So these folks gathered together seek to heal the world’s troubles by using worldly principles. Why would Christians need GOD anyway?

Black church leaders gathered at Howard University School of Divinity in Washington this week to discuss the future direction of the black church and what they said was the importance of advocating the causes of abortion rights and greater inclusion of homosexuals.

The event, part of this year’s 12th annual National Black Church Summit on Sexuality, featured workshops that spoke of the importance of pro-choice reproductive rights and ending what speakers said were failed federal abstinence approaches to sex education in schools.

While the issues that the black pastors spoke of are considered controversial and taboo among many churches, Carlton W. Veazey, a Baptist pastor for nearly five decades and one of the speakers that appeared at the event, summed up the purpose of the conference as one that would help highlight what he described as the special role of black churches as agents of social change.

“We can teach our young people, ‘Yes, I believe in abstinence only,’ but I also believe I have to be realistic enough to tell my young people how to protect themselves and to keep from becoming pregnant,” Veazey told Cybercast News Service, while explaining his opposition to abstinence education programs.

Colossians 2:6-10 (NKJV)

Talk about a sign of the times indeed! A man wants to sue Zondervan (and Thomas Nelson) because their editions of the Holy Bible uses the term ‘homosexuals’ in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. The passage apparently gave his family the impression that unrepentant homosexuals are locked out of the Kingdom of GOD…which I suppose is what he is saying he is and what he doesn’t want them to believe he’s in danger of.

You know what’s next, right? Holy Bibles being burned in the streets, prohibited from being owned, never being published and totally edited so that the only passage that remains is ‘GOD is love’ … so man can feel good about himself and not feel condemned for his sinful actions that he knows are sinful.

This gentleman is obviously not a Christian…Christians believe — no matter how challenging a Holy Bible passage may seem — that the Holy Bible is the indisputable word of GOD. Paul was writing under the direction of the LORD’s Holy Spirit… as was our patriarch Moses when he penned that men shouldn’t lie down with men nor women to lie down with cattle.

The Holy Bible is not to validate us. It is to condemn and convict us for our sins…and reveal to us how we can be saved — through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Homosexuality is perversion, an immoral act, a sin — no matter which term you used to try and disguise it with. Sin is sin is sin is sin.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV)

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals [That is, catamites], nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

As the LORD spoke against incest, bestiality, adultery and all other sexual sin, the FATHER also addressed same-sex relations:

Leviticus 18:22-30 (NKJV)

22 ” ‘Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

23 ” ‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.

24 ” ‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the aliens living among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.

29 ” ‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things-such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the LORD your God.’ “

Sure, we can argue that Christians are not under the old Covenant… sure, let’s throw it all out. Let’s keep the part about incest, but let’s discard the part about same-sex relations. Whatever feels good, we’ll keep; whatever makes us feel guilty or complicates our habits should just get blacked out.

It’s all or nothing, folks. GOD doesn’t bend for us… we must deny ourselves. For who are we? Did we create ourselves? Is this really our planet? HE IS LORD. If we continue to deny and reject HIM and look to ourselves as our own lords, there won’t be anyone left on this planet soon enough. That is all we know — sin and death. GOD gives these laws and statutes so that we may have life.

This man should repent — Zondervan didn’t write the Holy Scriptures. These are statutes from the LORD’s Holy Spirit. GOD will not be mocked.

Article excerpt: A gay man is suing two heavyweight Christian publishers, claiming their versions of the Bible that refer to homosexuality as a sin violate his constitutional rights and have caused him emotional pain and mental instability.

This is an excerpt from Slaughter of the Sheep: Jay Bakker, son of disgraced televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker (Messner), has not only completely embraced the Emerging Church theology which is poisoning our church today, but he is now an outspoken gay-affirming pastor who has said that God spoke to his heart and told him that homosexuality is not a sin.

A group that “fights religious and political oppression of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders” is apparently trying to infiltrate questionable churches…like Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church.

The son of evangelical Tammy Faye Bakker Messner will spend his first Mother’s Day weekend since her death in Houston, waiting to hear from Lakewood Church Pastor Joel Osteen.

Jay Bakker, a high-profile supporter of Soulforce – a group that fights religious and political oppression of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders – wants Osteen to join the nontraditional families at a picnic Saturday and welcome them to church on Sunday.

As the tattooed and pierced Bakker spoke at a Soulforce news conference Wednesday, it was clear his mother was in his thoughts. Though she died of cancer last July, she remains a near-legend in the LGBT community.

“I want to celebrate my mother’s life,” said Bakker, pastor of Revolution New York City, “and help spread the message she lived and preached. We need to stop thinking of ourselves as ‘us’ and ‘them.’ We hope the families of Lakewood Church will open their hearts and minds to us and sit down and have a conversation and share a meal. … Let’s put our differences aside and share the love and hope of Christ.”

Osteen has been largely silent on LGBT issues.

But for Bakker, “That’s as destructive as speaking out against the LGBT community.”

I can’t even give this group the time of day. They have a document on their Web site in which they totally refuse to acknowledge what the Holy Scriptures say about same-sex sexual activity — GOD doesn’t look upon it favorably. Instead of making the scriptures about homosexual behavior, plain and simple, they instead choose to make the scriptures about Leviticus priests and the ‘unusual’ sexual behavior of the Romans. Oh, and gang rape, as was partly the crime of the Sodomites.

Romans 1:24-32

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Would GOD condemn one group of people for doing something HE finds “unclean,” “vile,” “shameful” and “debased” and totally ignore everyone else who do these things which are contrary to HIS Word? The Creator counts these homosexual acts as unrighteousness, which means homosexuality is a sin. Unrepentant sinners will find their place with “…the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 21:7-9).”

Those who practice homosexuality and those who have such feelings are not worthless or mistakes or worth any less than others. We are all GOD’s creation and we are all born with the stain of sin. Homosexuality is a sin, according to the Word of GOD. There is no distinction between sins and those who commit them. And …the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). This death and life are eternal.

This is quite an odd case: “One of Canada’s largest Christian ministries dedicated to caring for the disabled was fined $23,000 recently by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario for allegedly discriminating against a former homosexual employee. Read the rest of this entry »
