Wow — Church Leaders Alter Christmas Carols To Be Inclusive, PC — Huh?!

By LaVrai, 13 December, 2008, No Comment

choirI don’t know what’s going on with folks this year — first it was a ban on using the correct term to describe this season — Merry Christmas; we’re told to say “Happy Holidays” instead so the pagans don’t feel uncomfortable. It’s one thing for the government to come up with such rubbish — but for people who call themselves shepherds of the flock to entangle themselves with the world — to compromise — and insult the LORD our GOD… Truly, we must be living in the last days. These people are so bold!

It’s called Christmas — it’s about our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ of Nazareth. These classic carols and hymns were written to exalt HIS holy name — not to please the masses. Christmas is about acknowledging Christ Jesus’ incarnation in this world — not about us. If you cut out all references to Jesus in these songs… then what in the world are we singing about, and to whom? We must be the silliest lot the LORD has ever seen. Pathetic. Imagine that — so-called “Christians” choose to please the world instead of pleasing THE CREATOR.

Video: Preacher Mocks Jesus, Elevates Money Over The LORD

By LaVrai, 29 September, 2008, 2 Comments

I don’t know how else to describe this video. Sure, it’s not the pastor’s full sermon, but you don’t need to see the full sermon to understand whom his god is. As the LORD Jesus Christ explained to HIS disciples:

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

As for focusing on getting money instead of focusing on walking with our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures also speak on that. If you claim that you are a saved and sanctified Christian who knows the LORD, how is it you do not know that the clothes on your back, the roof over your head and the job you have to complain about all come into your possession because of the grace of our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY? How do you not know that you didn’t get that job on your own. You didn’t buy that car by some mighty power of your own. We seem to take life for granted — like we are the ones who actually wake ourselves up in the morning.

By the way, Jesus never worried about money — when HE needed it, the FATHER provided (Matthew 17:24-27Matthew 17:24-27
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? tribute: called in the original, didrachma, being in value fifteen pence sterling; about thirty seven cents 25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? 26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. 27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. a piece...: or, a stater: it is half an ounce of silver, in value two shillings and six pence, sterling; about fifty five cents

How does a so-called Christian teach/believe that Jesus Christ is not enough? It’s not Jesus or money, or Jesus and money. It’s just about Jesus. As the LORD says:

Matthew 6:31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Notice how this man takes a giant leap from “Let there be light” to “let there be money…cars…” It’s ridiculous. I pray these so-called pastors realize that they will be held of high accountability for elevating themselves over the flock and claiming the responsibility of teaching the LORD’s children.

Matthew 18:6 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

Oprah And Barack’s Many Paths To ‘Heaven’ Is A Blatant Lie

By LaVrai, 19 September, 2008, No Comment

By now, many know that Oprah Winfrey believes that ‘Jesus can’t be the only way,’ that is, she believes there is more than one way to get to heaven…but Ms. Winfrey still claims she is a Christian. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama also believes there is more than one way to heaven… although he too claims he is a Christian.

According to Oprah Winfrey’s spokesperson (as revealed in a July 2008 article): “Oprah was raised Baptist and has stated many, many times that she is a Christian and that she believes in only one God,” said the spokesman, who asked not to be named. “She has also said, ‘I’m a free-thinking Christian who believes in my way, but I don’t believe it’s the only way, with 6 billion people on the planet.’” [More on Oprah Winfrey in her own words here...]

As Barack Obama said in an April 2004 article“I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there’s an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived.”

It’s perhaps an unlikely theological position for someone who places his faith squarely at the feet of Jesus to take, saying essentially that all people of faith — Christians, Jews, Muslims, animists, everyone — know the same God. That depends, Obama says, on how a particular verse from the Gospel of John, where Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me,” is heard. [You can read more, up-to-date words from Mr. Obama on his curious faith here...]

There are some very confused, mixed-up folks out there calling themselves Christians and even professing that they believe in the ONE TRUE GOD, but in the same breath deny HIS Only Begotten Son…therefore denying the ONE TRUE GOD as well.

Demons Confess Christ Jesus Is LORD

By LaVrai, 23 July, 2008, 3 Comments

Someone left a rather odd comment on a post I have examining the strange works of Todd Bentley (Todd Bentley Imparts Anti-Christ Spirit). This person simply posted a verse, 1 John 4:1-21 John 4:1-2
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

4 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

, which is about testing every spirit. Verse 2 says: “By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;”

Based on what I saw on this commentator’s site, [UPDATE (7/26/08) I removed the link to the site. I don't promote demonology] he is an advocate of Todd Bentley and his strange works. This Holy Bible passage, he assumes, is supposed to clear Bentley of any wrongdoing (i.e., behaving contrary to the Holy Spirit of GOD) — who we are to assume has never denied Jesus is Christ and King… so that’s supposed to mean he’s a sheep and not a goat…or a charlatan.

First off, I do not know if this brother (assuming the commentator is only misguided / ignorant and not willfully neglecting the voice of GOD) has any evidence of Todd Bentley confessing that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Not that such evidence would bare much weight by itself considering all the abundance of documentation showing quite clearly and plainly that Todd Bentley is not working in the light of Jesus Christ, but in the darkness of Satan.

Video: Dealing With False Teachers

By LaVrai, 20 July, 2008, No Comment

The Rev. Dr. Charles Stanley delivers a very relevant, timely sermon about dealing with false teachers as discussed by the apostle Paul in his epistles. The video is about 30 minutes long (and opens in new window). It is required watching for those in the Body of Christ. [Also read Mr. Stanley's 'Developing Spiritual Discernment']
