Mr. Berit Kjos at Kjos Ministries analyzes the Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships initiative President Obama put his signature to last week.

Barack Obama’s “Call to Renewal” speech on June 28, 2006: “Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific values. ” Obama hired Pastor Joshua DuBois to head up his Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships . Considering their diverse backgrounds, the two seem surprisingly compatible. Notice how Pastor DuBois echoes the words of President Obama: “Our democracy demands that when people are religiously motivated you have to translate your concerns into universal rather than religion-specific values .”

… our new president wants us to trade our Biblical values for evolving illusions! He tells us to build our faith on the shifting sands of cultural ideals rather than the immovable rock of God’s Word. We would be fools to follow such devious demands!

This paradigm shift began decades ago! Progressive education and compromising churches have paved the way. Trying to please man rather than God, they have already embraced those enticing universals that rule out God’s guidelines.

No plan will undermine those “divisive” old truths more effectively than Obama’s system of “service learning.” Through a top-down hierarchy of partnerships — government, churches and community groups — trained facilitators will guide group dialogue at every level of this pyramid until all participants embrace the evolving consensus.

Jim Geraghty reports on Barack Obama’s statement on the sanctity of human life during today’s National Prayer Breakfast:

“We know there is no God who condones the killing of an innocent human being.”

Well, great! Perhaps then President Obama would also agree that we know no God who condones the negligent killing of innocent human beings who survive abortions. Of course, Obama would have to acknowledge now that his position has changed since his days in the Illinois state legislature, when he helped protect abortionists by blocking legislation that would have required a second doctor to act on behalf of infants born alive after an abortion. God knows that those children were and are innocents, alive at birth, and left to die in abortion mills.

Todd Friel of “Wretched” radio picks apart Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren’s prayer during President Barack Obama’s inaugural ceremony. He also takes a brief look at Mr. Obama’s reference to Scripture (which he does quite often).

Is Friel being petty and going overboard with analyzing every missed or “twisted” word/phrase?

The Grand Mufti of Bosnia thinks the election of Barack Obama as American president is a gift from God that could help foster greater international tolerance of Muslims. “I believe that Obama is a divine sign to humanity,” Mustafa Ceric told me in an interview in Sarajevo. Americans “think that they have elected him, but I believe that he was elected by God.”

… “Barack Obama is one of these most noble goods of our time and our civilisation, that is why I think he is a gift of God,” he said. “At the moment we feel a trend to change. Whether this change will be really in practice and life, we need time to see.”

Is there no one not ready to bow down and worship Mr. Obama?

It’s all just harmless fun, right? No one has ever linked Obama to Christ Jesus before. I mean no one thinks President Barack Obama is a messiah or the Messiah. No one really worships this man and looks to him as the source of our hope and Salvation.

Harmless. Really.
