I hope the title of this post expresses the foolishness inherent with such non-Biblical claims as the following.

Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Anyone teaching doctrine that contradicts the Word of the LIVING GOD is either a liar or deceived.

UPDATE: Nightline To Air Segment On 11-Year-Old Preacher Terry Durham
UPDATE (05/20/09): Here is the video, thanks to a skeptical YouTuber. I really don’t think this segment needs much analyzation.
Here we have child preacher Terry Durham, who is in fourth grade and may or may not want to be a pediatrician when he grows up. ABC’s Nightline is airing a segment on him and his controversial ministry tonight (I’ll try to provide video tomorrow). They also have a great piece up on their Web site in which they speak to Terry and mostly his father and grandmother. The writers, Cynthia McFadden and Melia Patria, give the sense that this isn’t a straight-arrow ministry and that money may just be the vision and the goal.
Excerpts:
The writers also asked Terry’s dad about his criminal record (and his grandma’s, too):
I find it strange how this story gives the overwhelming impression that something is a bit shady with this little boy’s ministry… but I don’t think the writers had to try very hard for that element.
I also wonder if this little boy can explain “propitiation,” “redemption” and “regeneration.”
Check out the story on ABC, there’s also a great slideshow up on other so-called child preachers.
