I came across a book either I or my mother bought for my young brother when he was a kid. It’s a collection of Bible stories with illustrations from 1995. I started flipping through it and decided to read the writer’s interpretation of the Temptation of Jesus the Christ. Although meant for a young school child, the writer shared something everyone of every age needs to consider.
This is what Satan says to Jesus:
“I have faith in the character of people. Human beings don’t like to wait. They’re not interested in heaven tomorrow. They want heaven today. They aren’t looking for character but for a quick fix. It’s the miracles they want, the parades, the dramatic. They don’t want sermons, they want sensations. They don’t want burdens, they want bread. They don’t want mercy, they want miracles. Help them, heal them, entertain them, and they are yours, all yours. You can cheat them or lie to them or fool them — but don’t bore them.”
Consider that text above and ask yourself some very serious questions. — Am I looking for redemption or an experience? Do I want GOD’s will for my life or GOD’s approval of my life choices? Do I want just Jesus or Jesus and Buddha, too?
Take a look at Speaking Truth’s post on Minstrel’s In The Pulpit and see where you fall.

It’s stories like these that make it difficult to paint things as black and white… and for Christians most things are black and white when it comes to morality and ethics — either it lines up with the Holy Bible or it doesn’t. There is perhaps no moral issue more contested in the secular and religious than the issue of abortion.
I guess this means the site is a blessing to someone (thanks,
