LaVrai – The Truth

Fellow Christian blogger Miriam has a post on her site titled “Is Barack Obama Satan’s Warm-Up Act?” which takes a look at how “Left Behind” creator Tim LaHaye voiced his opinion on this question. Not surprisingly, most of the reader comments are focused on the timing of the “rapture,” when the Saints are removed from the earth and join Jesus the Christ.

I have written about this subject so many times, but it always resurfaces. Who wants to believe they will have to try and live under Satan’s evil, psychotic rule on earth? Anyway, here is my response to Miriam’s post… and my response of course grew in length to become this blog post:

A regular visitor to LaVrai.COM, JF, commented on a post about a survey showing that some Christians believe that those who reject Jesus the Christ (Muslims, Jews, atheists) will still make it to heaven. He wonders about those who never hear the Gospel and also about babies that die, if they end up in hell. My response turned out to be longer that I had anticipated, so I decided to turn it into a post. Undoubtedly, these are issues we all consider at some point. It’s stories like these that make it difficult to paint things as black and white… and for Christians most things are black and white when it comes to morality and ethics  — either it lines up with the Holy Bible or it doesn’t. The Anglican Church of Canada portrays Jesus the Christ as a recovering racist in their misinterpretation of Matthew 15:22-27. Talk about corrupting the Word. Please take a look at the passage and examine its meaning for yourself. Feel free to consider the original Greek term for this use of “dog” used in the passage.

Matthew 15:22-27 (NKJV)

22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” 23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”
