Roman Catholic Faithful Tony Blair To Become Very First ‘President Of Europe’

tonyblair_euflagReportedly former European Union chair French President Nicolas Sarkozy is pushing very hard to have former British prime minister Tony Blair become the EU’s President…a permanent position, not one that rotates out every 6 months like it currently does. … What is the world coming to? — Oh yeah, and end! Blair will undoubtedly “answer” to Rome/ the Vatican.

Excerpt from the Daily Mail (Feb. 8, 2009):

Tony Blair is poised to become the first President of Europe after it was confirmed that French leader Nicolas Sarkozy is determined to help him win the post.

A senior aide to President Sarkozy told a private gathering of senior British and French politicians that he is to tell fellow EU leaders that Mr Blair is the only man who can help Europe stand up to the rest of the world.

The remark by Alain Minc, a key member of Mr Sarkozy’s inner circle, is the second French blow to Gordon Brown’s standing in two days, coming after Mr Sarkozy said Mr Brown’s decision to combat the recession by cutting VAT was a ‘mistake’.

Mr Minc, a political wheeler-dealer, entrepreneur and TV show host, was attending a meeting last month of the Franco British Colloque, a high-powered discussion group of British and French politicians, civil servants and opinion-formers.

Members are under orders not to reveal the confidential discussions, but The Mail on Sunday has established that Mr Minc used the meeting to win support for Mr Sarkozy’s campaign to ensure Mr Blair becomes the President of Europe.

The role is due to be created next year – but only if the EU’s controversial Lisbon Treaty is ratified in the autumn by Ireland and the Czech Republic, the two EU countries which have so far refused to do so.

Reported Feb. 16, 2009:

Tony Blair has won a prestigious million-dollar (£697,000) prize for his leadership on the world stage, it was announced today.

The former prime minister, now a Middle East peace envoy, will receive the Dan David prize for “his exceptional leadership and steadfast determination in helping to engineer agreements and forge lasting solutions to areas in conflict”.

The award is presented by the Dan David Foundation, based at Tel Aviv University, and a spokesman for Blair said the money would be donated to the former Labour leader’s charity for religious understanding, the Tony Blair Faith Foundation.

Blair is an envoy of the international Quartet on the Middle East peace process, which comprises the US, EU, UN and Russia.

His entry as a Dan David laureate on the prize’s website hails him as “one of the most outstanding statesmen of our era”. (Source)

Reported Feb. 2, 2009:

Blair, currently the Middle East envoy for the US, Russia, EU and the UN, has told friends he has made no final decision, but is increasingly willing to put himself forward for the job if it comes with real powers to intervene in defence and trade affairs.

… Blair himself is still doubtful that the role of council president will become a powerful job, saying he senses that even pro-Europeans might recoil from ceding power from the nation state.

With most countries currently focused on ratifying the Lisbon treaty through their national parliaments, decisions on the powers of the full-time president are unlikely to be made until the second half of the year.

Apart from Blair, two other candidates most often mentioned are the former Austrian chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel, promoted by Germany, and the current Luxembourg prime minister, Jean-Claude Juncker. (Source)

Reported Jan. 13, 2008:

Tony Blair launched his campaign to become the first fully-fledged President of the European Union yesterday by describing the notion of left- and right-wing politics as redundant.

With France preparing to oversee the appointment process, Blair set out his vision of modern European democracy at a meeting of the French governing conservative party by also claiming that EU countries could achieve far more by working together than acting in isolation.

‘Europe is not a question of left or right, but a question of the future or the past, of strength or weakness,’ said the former British Prime Minister, speaking in French.

In his most important speech since leaving Downing Street last June, addressing 2,000 supporters of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Blair said globalisation was eradicating traditional party lines and class distinctions and rendering old political remedies obsolete. ‘It’s about today versus yesterday. Less about politics and more about a state of mind; open as opposed to closed,’ he said.

… Despite support from Sarkozy – who is the architect of the mini-treaty for a European constitution – Blair is an outsider for the EU job. His support for the war in Iraq and Britain’s reluctance to join the euro and other core projects is likely to count against him when EU leaders vote for their president later this year. (Source)

How ironic that the European Union presidency rotates every 6 months… it reminds me of a particular Holy Bible passage.

Revelation 17:12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

Apparently Rome is where the world’s economic leaders meet to discuss global finances.

Does anyone know why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in Rome… meeting with the pope? Didn’t she have enough of kissing his ring?

Also, anyone know what the real deal is on the Lisbon Treaty? Is it calling on EU states to give up sovereignty?

Psalm 2

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. 5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

So, you think that we should be against uniting Europe even more?

    • LaVrai says:

Honestly, JF, I don’t know anything really about European politics… and I probably couldn’t name many of the Eastern European countries (just being honest). I find this bit of news interesting because there have been reports that the Bush administration was working with Canada and Mexico to form a North American Union. Already, we have a Mediterranean Union. There is also an Africa Union. If we start electing permanent presidents over these unions… that will make only a handful of leaders “running the world.” What would keep these handful of leaders from giving their power to one individual in some sort of global union… you get my drift?

      • JF says:

Sure, I understand. But with the EU president it’s not like he’s really running whole eastern/central Europe. Still, Parliament etc. would be working. And all the countries would have their own laws. He’d have much less power than e.g. US president.

Dear Lavrai am not sure I will be shocked at what these people are doing, whether people want to agree that the NWO is here or not does not change anything it is here and people will see it and i Pray that God opens the eyes of His people in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.

It pains me especially when you have spiritually blind Christians who do not see what is going on around them I know what am saying may not be what people want to hear but I have no Choice as the Lord lives, I will keep speaking the truth of God even as He reveals it to me. I urge you to continue in the work of God. I know you may not be feeling the love from fellow Christians for the kinds of posts but keep up the good Work
