Round-up of interesting posts/articles found on blogs and Web sites I have recently come across.
- Did you ever feel like something was wrong with your phone, or that someone else was accessing your e-mail? According to a former National Security Agency analyst, President Bush had the agency spying on just about every America, no matter your affiliations… This isn’t the first time this charge has been made, by the way, but it’s the first time someone has alleged that it was ALL peoples on this shore who were treated as open game. – Former NSA Analyst: NSA ‘Monitored All Communications’ Of Americans, Targeted Journalists
- This is a wonderful “account” about a pair of best friends in Christ Jesus who are suddenly tested when one of them has a supernatural experience. – Diamonds From Heaven? @ Christian Research Service (HT: End Times Prophetic Revelation)
- I used to have a friend who is a Lesbian. I tried to explain to her once that such a lifestyle is not acceptable to GOD, to which she swiftly replied, “I know a Rabbi who’s gay.” … I say that to say this – what happens when gay men and women calling themselves servants of GOD are essentially endorsed and embraced by a church, a well respected organization or say by the leader of a land? — How Barack Obama Will Make Christ a Minister of Condemnation @ Pastor John Piper’s blog (HT: I’m Speaking Truth)
- According to Henry A. Kissinger “An international order can be permanent only if its participants have a share not only in building but also in securing it. In this manner, America and its potential partners have a unique opportunity to transform a moment of crisis into a vision of hope.” – The chance for a new world order
- Pastor Voddie Baucham takes a look at some of the lesbian/gay and family-related issues listed on President Obama’s agenda as shown on WhiteHouse.gov (a site you need to familiarize yourself with since he’s promoting government “transparency”) – And So It Begins
- Judge says Illinois law allowing for a moment of silence in schools “is a subtle effort to force students at impressionable ages to contemplate religion” – Judge Voids Illinois Law on Silent Time in Schools
- Doesn’t any one get it? — If we say that ALL religions are equally true we are also saying that not a single one is true. All of them cannot be right, so why are some folks estatic that President Obama is all about inclusiveness? When you say the god of Islam is acceptable or that the way of Hinduism is acceptable, you are at the same time denying the ONE TRUE GOD. Is faith just a thing, a trinket we pull out when you need to feel better about ourselves…?- The role of religion under Obama
- I don’t necessarily agree with everything this Dutch filmmaker may have said about Islam and the Koran, but for him to be prosecuted for “hate speech” for voicing his concerns about radical Islam and the blind hate the Koran teachers is just crazy. Christianity and the Holy Bible get dumped on, spit on and trampled everyday in many nations, especially in America. When are we going to prosecute people for calling the Holy Bible and GOD evil and hateful? No, it won’t happen. But Christians can expect prosecution and persecution for practicing their faith — teaching others that Salvation is only in Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Tell someone homosexuality is wrong and show them some Bible verses and you may wind up in court. What is this favoritism towards Islam? – Dutch MP to be prosecuted over anti-Koran film ‘Fitna’ and please read this opinion piece – Silencing Islam’s Critics
- Despite his idol-plagued faith, I applaud this man for standing his ground and refusing to bend for the world. – Christian fireman wins apology over gay stance
- Rick Warren stayed true to form and snuck in a bit of heresy in his inauguration prayer, fooling, if possible, even the elect into believing he upheld the blood-stained banner. Thanks to Mr. Daniel Cordell for doing some digging on this “Isa” fella Mr. Warren insinuated was just the Muslim way of saying Jesus. – Praying in the name of Isa
- The Christian Law Association points out some things Christians should watch out for as President Barack Obama starts digging in and making certain legal changes – Legal Watch for ’09
- Another telling article (from Aug. 2008) on Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren’s worldly desires… “A more cautious figure than Warren might have passed on the opportunity to become a political lightning rod. But he has spent the past few years positioning himself for just such a role as a suprapolitical, supracreedal arbiter of public virtues and religious responsibilities.” – The Global Ambition of Rick Warren
