The Interfaith Lie: We Can End World Poverty (And Bring About World Peace)

Now, the Christians are praying in the name of Jesus; the Jews bypass Jesus (and does GOD still hear and acknowledge?); the Muslims pray to some other god; and the Hindus do what again...? -- I guess we better ignore all that and just pray...some god is bound to answer.
What’s that saying? — The road to hell is paved with good intentions?
Have you heard about the latest inter-faith campaign called One Sabbath? – I believe it’s organized or at least strongly supported by Rick Warren, who some Christians love to dislike due to his alleged compromising of the GOSPEL. I don’t pay much attention to Rick Warren, but I trust some of my fellow Christian bloggers well enough to know that they aren’t making things up. You can examine some of Mr. Warren’s fruit here, here and here.
Now, let’s take a look at this One Sabbath interfaith nonsense…and what the general aim of many of these inter-faith movements (most of which likely belong to the devil) seems to be.
According to the ONE Web site: “ONE is Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life – united as ONE – to help make poverty history…” On a news update page of the site dated Dec. 3 it reads: “...leaders and activists from across the Muslim, Christian, Jewish and Hindu faiths joined ONE for a phone call announcing some news on ONE Sabbath, which is ONE’s multi-faith effort to engage congregations on global poverty and disease issues.” Here’s another bit: “Each (of these leaders from various faiths) talked about the importance that responding to poverty plays in the teachings and basic philosophies of all major faiths, and that this common link between religions to care for the world’s poor provides ripe opportunity to speak out and work together. Each leader had some thoughtful insights on why America’s faith community will play a key role in responding to global poverty in the months and years ahead, and how ONE Sabbath can help.”
Here’s a statement from a top member of another similar interfaith group I came across in the Christian Post: “We will only end world poverty by working with people who have faiths other than our own – so let’s do it right,” said Christian Aid’s Inter-Community Initiatives Manager, Nigel Varndell, following a major conference on inter-faith humanitarian work this week.
Helping the poor is a must, that cannot be denied – -Jesus Christ says all throughout the Gospels that we are to feed, clothe and preach to the poor. They must not be neglected. In fact, the LORD our GOD made special provisions for the poor when HE handed down the laws and statutes to Moses and the Hebrews, which you can read about in Exodus 23 and Leviticus 25 for example (Deuteronomy 15 & 24 addresses poverty, too). The thing is, however, poverty has always existed. And, in fact, poverty will always exist. You see, Jesus Christ of Nazareth says so in Mark 14:7 “For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good…”
There won’t be an end to poverty or true eternal world peace until Messiah Jesus of Nazareth returns and drives out the wicked — you see, that’s the problem, man’s rebellious, sinful nature. That’s when all the trouble started — murder, wars, rape, oppression, injustice, etc. — when man decided to believe Satan. To this day, we are still believing that Old Dragon — that it is we who can fix all things.
Psalm 9: 17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. 18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.
Although we may espouse faith in “a GOD” we don’t really need HIM to protect the nation or any such nonsense. We can do all this by ourselves, because GOD isn’t real anyway, say atheists (do they work with the inter-faith movement?).
Nevermind that Christians and Jews belonging to this interfaith movement (it is one movement really, with different factions to allure different people; but all of the devil) are supposed to rely on the WORD of the LIVING GOD. Apparently, they don’t read or understand the passages in which GOD ALMIGHTY addresses when eternal peace and safety will come about… and it won’t be at the hand of Rick Warren, President-elect Barack Obama or Pope Benedict XVI. These men, in fact, may very well be apart of the false peace movement.
So please be wary of groups and alliances which insist that it doesn’t matter which GOD you serve as long as we’re all working for the same goals. It does matter which lord you serve because the ONE TRUE GOD says in all our ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct our paths. It is also written in John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” If you have to sacrifice lifting up the name of Jesus Christ at the price of “world peace” and stomping out poverty, then there is a clear and present danger — because true peace and true wealth comes from Jesus Christ of Nazareth and from HIM alone.
Consider Hannah’s prayer after the LORD blessed her womb and she bore the Samuel, who ministered to the LORD even as a little boy.
1 And Hannah prayed and said:
“My heart rejoices in the LORD;
My horn is exalted in the LORD.
I smile at my enemies,
Because I rejoice in Your salvation.
2 “No one is holy like the LORD,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God.
3 “Talk no more so very proudly;
Let no arrogance come from your mouth,
For the LORD is the God of knowledge;
And by Him actions are weighed.
4 “The bows of the mighty men are broken,
And those who stumbled are girded with strength.
5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread,
And the hungry have ceased to hunger.
Even the barren has borne seven,
And she who has many children has become feeble.
6 “The LORD kills and makes alive;
He brings down to the grave and brings up.
7 The LORD makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up.
8 He raises the poor from the dust
And lifts the beggar from the ash heap,
To set them among princes
And make them inherit the throne of glory.
“For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s,
And He has set the world upon them.
9 He will guard the feet of His saints,
But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.
“For by strength no man shall prevail.
10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces;
From heaven He will thunder against them.
The LORD will judge the ends of the earth.
“He will give strength to His king,
And exalt the horn of His anointed.”

For those who are wise enough to know that there will be a one world religion before He comes back to destroy it…. these Berean’s see very clearly where this is all heading.
Unfortunately, there are so many Christians who have not been taught very well from the Word, and have listened to the likes of Rick Warren and his ilk who say that; “prophecy is not our concern”!
Go figure… ‘Prophecy is not our concern’ …I wonder how much of the bible should be ignored then?
I bet just before Jesus’ time there were the same kind of wolves who said the same kind of thing, they missed His first coming and were looking for a world leader too! Nothing has really changed has it?
