I still don’t understand how people persist in the idea that condemning sin is equal to expressing hate for another human being. Murder is a sin — and by my expressing this truth found in the Holy Bible doesn’t mean that I hate a person who commits murder. On the contrary, I would pray that the LORD Jesus Christ saves this individual. The same thing goes for those who commit adultery, bear false witness, steal, rape, etc. It’s all sin and I’d be quite foolish to pat a thief, murderer, rapist or liar on the back and tell them it’s OK.
It’s not OK and neither is homosexuality. It says so in the Holy Bible, and the LORD our GOD gives some fearful examples in the Scriptures to drive that point home.
Christ Jesus didn’t teach HIS people to hate, but to love — and to keep from living in sin. Jesus Christ of Nazareth pointed out people’s sins — and HE did this because HE loved them. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin because HE loves us. For the Holy Scriptures say without holiness no one shall see GOD. If our sins aren’t pointed out to us, we won’t know to repent and if we live in a state of perpetual sin, then we will have no place in GOD’s Kingdom.
So some folks in Texas are kicking up a storm over a local church pastor’s sign promoting his sermon on “Why Gay Is Not OK.” Take a look at some of these videos, news stories and listen to the pastor’s very thorough sermon for yourself. He goes deeper than the often quoted Holy Bible passages to challenge the popular views/myths on homosexuality. This needs to be preached in every church — but who wants to lose bench warmers.

Pro-Gay Protesters Rally Outside First Baptist Dallas church; Pastor Robert Jeffress Interviewed:
In contrary to what one gentleman in the video claims, pointing out sin is not “casting stones” — that’s simply telling someone whom you love that they are doing something wrong/ harmful. Judging sin is “casting stones” — and there is only ONE who judges for HE is without sin.
Again, homosexuality is not OK and it never will be in GOD’s eyes — HE calls it an abomination and perversion. And as GOD the FATHER said in Genesis when HE created and saw that Eve was a comparable mate for Adam, GOD the SON repeats in Matthew 19:3-4Matthew 19:3-4

3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?”
4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Jesus Christ reminded those who were asking him about marriage and fidelity that GOD ALMIGHTY ordained that marriage is for a man and a woman; not for two men or two women. A man for a woman is what GOD ordained from the beginning, Jesus says in this passage.
And here is the mp3 of Pastor Jeffress’ sermon: First Baptist Dallas – Pastor Robert Jeffress – Why Gay Is Not OK
I commend Pastor Jeffress for his boldness and for his faithfulness in upholding GOD’s standard. We need more clergy like him — who are not afraid to upset, offend and anger some people. A true friend, one who truly loves you, will point out your errors.
For those interested, First Baptist Dallas has a YouTube channel and a podcast subscription.

Thank you LaVrai for posting this. I just cringe when people say they were born gay ~ what a lie from hell. And I can’t understand why they (homosexuals) are so ready to say we (Christians) hate them. Why can’t they just pick up a Bible and look for themselves? We are just saying what God is saying to us.
But again, Jesus told us the world will hate us because it hated Him. Because he exposed their sin to the light, and they want to stay in darkness.
@ Lori – You’re totally right and, honestly, I just can’t figure it out except to say that folks who think they have to live in sin are just deceived…and it appears many do prefer the darkness to the light.
How is it that those submerged in a sinful “lifestyle” only knows the scriptures to regurgitate back in folk’s face, but not the ones that condemn their choices?!
Oh sure, don’t cast those stones and don’t judge… but yet in 1 Corinthians we read, “a spiritual man judges all things.” Get that! Pastor Jeffress was CAREFUL about his message. He didn’t judge the people, who were given a mode out of sin and into the arms of Jesus. He did – however – judge rocking with gays as a THING God abhors.
Well written. There is only one way to be born – the way God made us. From day one, choices are left up to us. We are creatures of our environment, and if that environment is full of abuse, parents with heinous choices or worse, then expect those “things” to take place.
God still loves and will accept anyone as they are. I have homosexual people in my life – folk I call friends. They know where I stand, and likewise, however there is no judgment of THEM… only their actions, of which will be judged heavily.
Pleasure to read your stuff.
Peace,

Good for those pastors!
Re. the “casting stones” – I can’t help but be amused when non-Christians try to quote the Bible back to us. They usually take it horribly out of context and miss the irony. The woman caught in adultery passage ends with Jesus saying, “Go and sin no more.”
And the sign saying Jesus would “accept us all” could only come from someone who hasn’t read the Bible.
