Christians — true Christians, not fear-mongering, hate-spewing, blind-raging “religious” people — need to fall on our knees and cry out to the LORD our GOD. We are a nation in need of dire healing, on many levels. But this is America — a nation previously peopled with Native Indians before Europeans who used bondage of Africans to gain economic wealth. Now, I do not know the mind of GOD, but if we read Exodus, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is against the kind of bondage that early America subjected slaves to (the LORD our GOD instructed the Hebrews, who once knew bondage, to treat their servants with love). There is no doubt that a deep-seeded hate for liberated slaves — black Americans — and all kinds of lies and evil suspicions grew out of the Emancipation Proclamation. To this day, the divide still exists — and the reasons for it are still ignorant, strange and pitiful. Let us pray for these people and ask that our most MERCIFUL GOD change the hearts and minds of all who do not yet know how to love… who do not yet know the LORD Jesus Christ.
