UPDATE (07/04/2009): Apparently Bishop Thomas Weeks III has found his new bride (and they may actually already be married; cannot confirm as yet). Here are two sources: The new Mrs Weeks (to be)… and Bishop Weeks remarries Pastor Christina Glenn

Wow. I’m not too sure what to say about this “news” (besides that someone needs to call VH1). According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Fresh off his divorce from national evangelist Juanita Bynum, Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III is looking for love again — this time on his own reality show. Weeks, head of Duluth-based Global Destiny International Ministries, wants a new wife to mend his broken heart. And he’s skipping the usual path to romance: chance meetings, singles mixers, social networking, speeding dating, fix-ups. He is seeking advice from his followers.

I’ll let the audio I captured speak for itself (use the player below). But here are a couple excerpts:

Weeks’ introduction: “It’s time for me to show the world who Bishop Weeks really is, and at the same time, from the world, possibly find, um, in due time, who is that perfect woman for me. And so this time, I’m not gonna limit it just to inside the scope of my local church or city or (inaudible). I’m going worldwide. I’m a globe person, right?”

Weeks on what the next Mrs. Weeks should be like: “This woman has to be very discerning and very intimate and very social and very… sensual and all of those other things. And, the personal side and on the ministry side, she has to be very diverse… (speakers interrupt) … When we come to the personal side, you know, she can’t be ugly. … She has to be easy on the eyes.

What’s the haps? Lovely post and great screen grabs. Check “The Writing on the Wall” with our story over there. A friend from the AJC pinged me to tell me that Weeks is collecting every post and may use them on his “broadcast” to discuss how (wait for it) “the enemy is fighting on him on this holy issue.”

    So make them juicy!

    Peace,
