From the Chicago Sun-Times: Obama showcased a pocketful of trinkets to reporters in New Mexico on Tuesday, including a lucky poker chip, an American eagle pen, and a small gold statue of a Hindu monkey god, which he said represent his faith in luck and voters. (source)

Luke 12:1-7 (NKJV)

1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. 3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.

4 “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Hat tip to IndependentConservative for the lead.

You’ve talked about your experience walking down the aisle at Trinity United Church of Christ, and kneeling beneath the cross, having your sins redeemed, and submitting to God’s will. Would you describe that as a conversion? Do you consider yourself born again?

[The words of Sen. Barack Obama:] I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life. But most importantly, I believe in the example that Jesus set by feeding the hungry and healing the sick and always prioritizing the least of these over the powerful. I didn’t ‘fall out in church’ as they say, but there was a very strong awakening in me of the importance of these issues in my life. I didn’t want to walk alone on this journey. Accepting Jesus Christ in my life has been a powerful guide for my conduct and my values and my ideals.

There is one thing that I want to mention that I think is important. Part of what we’ve been seeing during the course this campaign is some scurrilous e-mails that have been sent out, denying my faith, talking about me being a Muslim, suggesting that I got sworn in the U.S. Senate with a Quran in my hand or that I don’t pledge allegiance to the flag. I think it’s really important for your readers to know that I have been a member of the same church for almost 20 years, and I have never practiced Islam. I am respectful of the religion, but it’s not my own. One of the things that’s very important in this day and age is that we don’t use religion as a political tool and certainly that we don’t lie about religion as a way to score political points. I just thought it was important to get that in there to dispel rumors that have been over the Internet. We’ve done so repeatedly, but obviously it’s a political tactic of somebody to try to provide this misinformation. (source)

Question: What does a Hindu god and these various other icons have to do with faith in our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ?

By the things he says, does and because of the trinkets he professes to gladly carry around with him, Sen. Barack Obama is in no way shape or form a born-again Christian. His faith is not in Christ Jesus and Christ Jesus alone.

This isn’t a public service reminder for those who see him as their candidate. Vote for whom you think will do the better job, for it is GOD ALMIGHTY who installs kings (leaders) and tears them down. What I only aim to explain to you is that these candidates are by no means followers of Jesus Christ…as of this moment, it appears they would not be willing to die for professing Jesus Christ as the only LORD and SAVIOR

If you want to read about Sen. John McCain, read the Chicago Sun-Times article and do some research. I focused on Obama because there have been many a dangerous report holding this man up as some messianic figure. He is a worldly man, and does not seem to have been sanctified by the LORD Jesus Christ.
