Have you ever noticed how some Christians speak when it comes to GOD ALMIGHTY, Christ Jesus and their salvation? There seems to be a pervading theme and a common vocabulary amongst those who say they love the LORD.

I am eternally grateful to GOD ALMIGHTY for taking me out of this world, for waking me up, cleaning me up and making me acceptable to HIM. I am grateful that HE opened my heart and mind and shows me everyday just how much HE loves me. Before I really said yes to Christ Jesus (that is, stopped the compromising and twisting/omitting of certain scriptures in relation to my life, etc.), I was a filthy mess and didn’t even know that I was walking down the road to hell, although I called myself a Christian and really thought I was on the narrow path.

But GOD saved me. And I love HIM for it. I love HIM for caring, for understanding, for wanting to take care of my every need. I love GOD for being perfect, righteous, holy and true. I admire HIM, fear HIM, respect HIM and I am continuously in awe of HIM everyday.

I thank HIM for giving me peace and joy and understanding. I thank HIM for giving me a roof over my head, a pillow on which to lay my head and a job in which I find joy. I thank HIM for giving me the opportunity to see the sun and feel its warmth and for breathing the air with which HE has filled the earth. I simply thank HIM. I thank HIM. And in everything I do, I give HIM the praise and the glory, for truly — literally — without HIM I am nothing, an empty vessel, a weak and broken thing.

But HE has given me the gift of life and I gladly accept it. And I know there is nothing I can do or say that will even make me worthy of this gift, so I sing HIM praises and write HIS Word upon my heart. HIS will only do I seek. And there is nothing and no-one on this earth that can take HIS place — not mother, not brother, not friend. Not power or riches or fame. For in the end, there is only GOD ALMIGHTY our CREATOR and there is only me. I thank you Christ Jesus for showing me the Way, and I thank you my friend Holy Spirit for leading me in HIS will. Amen.

Any of you out there totally ‘obsessed’ with our LORD and Savior Christ Jesus…who can’t get enough of His Holy Word the Bible…who find yourself singing HIM songs of praise just out of the blue…and find yourself weeping when you realize who and what you had been rejecting before?

This is just an invitation to give our CREATOR a little praise, a little thanks and some expressions of love.

…And for those of you curious about the lack of updates, I just took a little trip out of town. It was fun and I’m glad to be back.

GOD bless and hold fast, for the return of Christ Jesus is around the corner.
