According to this new movement, mentioned in this article found on Religion News Blog called Christians Promote Holy, Hot Sex in Marriage, it’s apparently kosher for married men and women who belong to Jesus Christ to do just about anything they want in the bedroom (according to another Web site the article links to). That includes anal sex (which they sound like they dissuade against for medical reasons):

“Anal intercourse involves inserting the penis into the anus instead of the vagina. Many believe that the Bible speaks against this, but it does not. Homosexual anal sex is forbidden, but then so is homosexual manual sex or even homosexual kissing - thus we can not use homosexuality as a way of proving that anal sex is wrong.”

And oral sex:

Oral sex is using the mouth to sexually stimulate a spouse’s genitals. It can be done as foreplay, or as a way of causing orgasm. As with manual sex, there are no hints of prohibition in the Bible, and many scholars of the Song of Songs are convinced that several passages describe oral sex being performed on both the man and the woman. (SS 2:3, the woman preforming oral sex on the man, and SS 4:16 and possibly 8:2 for the man doing it to the woman).

I can’t judge, but I can definitely offer my opinion. Sure, it does not say explicitly or may not even allude in the Holy Bible to Christians abstaining from oral or anal sex (or sex during menstruation), but shouldn’t a Christian keep his/her body pure and keep it from corruption? The human anus serves one purpose…and we all know what that is. The mouth also, serves other purposes — and none if them include using it to put on another person’s genitals. Are you really going to go into church and greet your brother and sister with a kiss …with a mouth you put on another person’s anus or genital? Do you think it’s OK to be in your marriage bed having sex in a manner even foreign to animals? Are Christians not supposed to be just living in this world — and not be of it? If a Christian is behaving in his/her marriage the exact same way that a person still living in sin is…what’s the difference?

Sex is pleasurable, sure, but it was also for the provision of offspring. We are not to be slaves to the flesh or defile this holy temple. You cannot greet your brother with a kiss..if those lips have become unclean. How can you even speak to GOD after you have performed such filth in HIS sight? And consider the Holy Spirit, who is indwelt in the righteous… what kind of unswept temple are you providing for Him?

Here are some Bible verses to consider.

Romans 6:11 - Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

Romans 8:12-13 - Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

1 Corinthians 6:12-13 - All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body…

1 Corinthians 6:17-19 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
