Pope Benedict XVI: ‘Pot Calling The Kettle Black’
Posted on 5th April 2008 by LaVrai
I find it so offensive when Pope Benedict opens his mouth and says something hypocritical. I’m not sure if anyone else notices it, but isn’t it rather strange that the man leading the Catholic Church issues ‘new sins’ and wants to tell people what GOD finds offensive… the leader of the institution whose priests have been systematically raping young boys for decades, if not centuries? The leader of the same institution whose administrators have been looking the other way while GOD’s innocent are raped… and who put these pedophile priests (sullying their garments and causing man to despise GOD) in new locations or some place where they won’t be harassed (or to continue their ‘habits’)– instead of sending them to court to face their accusers?
Consider this article about Benedict explaining what GOD supposedly finds offensive. Read the words carefully, and tell me, shouldn’t housecleaning start at home? Shouldn’t this man be running through his so-called churches with whips, ridding the institution of those who sully GOD’s supposed House?
Divorce and abortion are offences in the sight of God, Pope Benedict XVI charged Saturday, while calling on the Catholic Church to be merciful to those who had experienced such events.
“The ethical judgement of the Church on divorce and abortion is clear and well-known,” he told participants in a Catholic congress on marriage and the family.
“They are serious offences (sic)… which violate human dignity, inflict deep injustice on human and social relations and offend God himself, guarantor of conjugal peace and origin of life,” he said.
However he added that there were people who had committed such “errors” but “suffered from wounds to the soul” and “sought peace.”
“The Church has the duty to be close to these people with love and delicacy,” the pope added.
“Divorce and abortion are choices… which sometimes develop in difficult and dramatic circumstances… and are a source of profound suffering for those who take such decisions.
“They also affect innocent victims, the barely-conceived and unborn infant, the children caught up in divorces.” (AFP via MSN)
Because I know some will think it - I am not upset with ‘the Catholics.’ I am disgusted by the leadership.
