Why Shouldn’t We Evangelize The Jews?

As a Christian, we have the responsibility of always being prepared to share and explain our faith to anyone at any given moment. If we are instructed to preach and teach the Good News…if GOD says the entire world must first learn about salvation through Messiah Christ Jesus before our Savior returns to earth… why do some of us find it necessary to exclude certain people from hearing our testimony and teachings?

This seems to usually happen when the issue of Judaism comes up. Why try to show the truth to Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists and everyone else under the sun, but then pussyfoot when it comes to sharing the truth with GOD’s first born (the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Israel)?

Yes, it can be a complicated matter sometimes. The Holy Bible says salvation is only through believing Jesus the Christ. Jesus himself said no one comes to the Father but through him. Does that mean GOD only listens to the prayers of Christians? Although one may deny Jesus the Christ is HIS only begotten son, and Jesus did say he who denies me denies the Father — it doesn’t change the fact that both Christians and Jews acknowledge and love the GOD of Abraham - GOD Almighty, the creator of all life. Christians just happen to take it a step further and acknowledge that one very much greater than Abraham has already come into the world to save it. And He said Himself, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

So, our Jewish brothers and sisters may love the LORD our GOD with all their heart, soul and mind, but they are still wandering the desert…and will continue to wander the desert until they stop doubting and start believing. GOD Almighty is still asking ‘How long will these people reject ME? And how long will they not believe ME?” Judaism rejects GOD’s Son, Messiah Christ Jesus. Those who adhere to Judaism refuse to believe that GOD has already sent Israel and the Gentiles’ Saviour (who will return at some future appointed time).

Tip of the hat to this post on Jews for Jesus.

As a Jew we have the responsibility of showing how misguided and wrong your attempts to proselytize are.

So, our Jewish brothers and sisters may love the LORD our GOD with all their heart, soul and mind, but they are still wandering the desert…and will continue to wander the desert until they stop doubting and start believing.

Actually many of us shake our heads and wonder how you can believe in a myth.

If Xtians can be arrogant enough to think that they have the right to tell others they’re wrong then we have the right to laugh and tell you to find some other patsy.

Not trying to be offensive or insulting, but really… If you think that it is ok to witness it is ok for me to tell you that you are ignorant of the truth.

    JACK:

You’re absolutely right - we all are free to express our opinions and to share what we may believe is important with others who we think should know about it.

And, as you’ve exercised, it’s up to the individual at whom this information is aimed to react how they will.

Is it arrogance that motivates me? No, it’s not arrogance, Jack. You see, like you, I am convinced by my faith, that what I have come to know as the Truth is indisputable. You feel the same way about your faith, no?

What is your opinion of those of us who do not believe as you believe when it comes to your faith? What does the Bible say about us non-believers? What becomes of us?

And how are we, those ignorant of what we must do to be found acceptable by your G_d, to learn the things you know that we will not be rejected by the Almighty?

Why do you write ‘Xtians,’ by the way?
